The Triage window is used to enter details regarding the patient’s initial assessment. This allows you to prioritize patients by their condition, so that patients with more severe injuries can be seen and addressed first.

To access the Triage window

Access the Triage window using one of the following methods:

• (Preferred Method) From the ED Main Page, select the desired patient in the Select Current ED Patient field. Then, click the Triage button. The Triage page is displayed.

OR

• Click the Triage button on the ED Main page. The Patient Search box is displayed. (See Using the Patient Search box for search instructions.)
