Welcome to Centriq application help. It is designed to help you access information quickly while you are using Centriq applications. This section discusses standard conventions used throughout the help system. To go directly to help topics for this module, refer to the Contents tab located in the left pane.

Centriq application help generally contains the following sections:
An introduction to application help, which includes this page with tips to effectively use the help window.
An Introduction to Centriq Software, which contains information on getting the most out of the applications you use every day.
An Introduction to the module you're using and its specific functions and design.
Specific topics (listed in the Contents on the left) relating to the tasks, maintenance, and reporting options used in the module you're using.
OPTIONAL: Appendices for specific functionality, such as inquiries, examples, other resources, etc.

The following standard conventions are used throughout the application help pages. They are used to help you quickly locate and understand the processes described in application help:
To access a specific location, the navigation is shown as: Master Files > System Parameters. In this example, you would start at the Accounts Payable module, click the Master Files menu, then select the System Parameters menu option.
Boldface type: Used to denote items in the program that the user can take action on, such as field names, buttons, menu options, etc.
Italicized type: Used to denote report names, chapters, and other documentation.
<Key stroke>: Used to denote the key stroke to press to effect the noted action: <Enter>, <Tab>.
Courier font: Used to denote exact text that the user should key into the system.
The help system is available from most pages. To access application help, click the Help button located in the upper portion of the page. When you use the Help button, the help system opens to the topic you are using. For example, if you're working in the System Parameters window and you click the Help button, application help displays the System Parameters topic.
Once you are in application help, click the Show link in the upper-left hand corner of the help window to display the application help navigation pane. You can use the navigation pane to find additional topics you need.
The navigation pane is located on the left side of the window and displays the contents and index of the help system. Use the following buttons to help you when you are using application help:
The Contents button displays all the topics in the help system. A plus or minus sign indicates a main topic that has subtopics within it. Click either the plus sign or the main topic title to expand that main topic and display its subtopics. Click either the minus sign or the main topic title to collapse a main topic and hide its subtopics. A page icon appears next to each individual topic. Click the page icon or the topic title to view that topic. |

The Index button allows you to search for topics by keyword. Type a word in the keyword box. The list of topics will jump to those that start with the word you typed. Click on the desired topic to display it. |

The Search button allows you to search for specific words within every topic. Type a word in the keyword box and press <Enter>. Topics that contain the word you entered will display. To see one of those topics, click that topic title. The word will be highlighted wherever it appears in the topic's text. |

The Print button allows you to print the displayed topic. From the print window, select the desired printer and click Print. To view or print the entire module's help content, see Additional Materials. |

The Close button closes the navigation pane. Click any of the above mentioned buttons to re-display the navigation pane. |

Application help supports Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Internet Explorer. If you are using Internet Explorer, you may need to allow ActiveX controls. (In this case, a yellow information bar should display for you to allow ActiveX.)
