The MPI Report provides a patient listing of selected Master Patient Index (MPI) information. The list can be printed in several different print orders (based on selections), and can be printed for all patients, selected patients, or for a range of patients.
The initial report may take several minutes to generate, depending on the number of records included based on the selected criteria.
To access the MPI Report window, go to Patient Registration > Reports > MPI Report. [+]
In the Choose Report Options section, specify the type of report to print. Choose one of the following options:
Name and Medical Record Number List - To include only patient names and medical record numbers.
All Information - To include selected MPI information in addition to patient name and medical record number.
If All Information is selected in step 1, check any of the boxes for the following MPI information to include in the report:
Include Guarantor Information
Include Insurance Information
Include Contact Information
In the Select Print Order section, select the order to print the report. The following options are available based on the selected report option (in step 1).
Patient Name
Patient Medical Record #
Guarantor Name
Guarantor #
SSN
Primary Physician
County Name
In the Choose Patient Range section, select All (default), or choose Selected or Range to specify the patient names to include in the report. The All option is not available when All Information is selected (in step 1).
If Selected is chosen, check the boxes of the patient names to include in the report, or check the Select All box. Use the scroll bar to view all available names.
If Range is selected, specify a range of patient names to include in the report. Click the ellipsis search button in the Beginning Name and Ending Name fields to select the names to include.
The following message is displayed when All Information is selected, and the Selected or Range option is chosen: NOTE: Selecting a large amount of data could result in a longer wait time.
Check the Receive Mailings box to filter the report based on patients who have consented to receive mailings (i.e., the Receive Mailings box is checked on the patient's MPI).
Check the Medicare Auth. Signature box to filter the report based on patients for whom the hospital has received a Medicare Authorized Signature (i.e., the Medicare Auth. Sig box is checked on the patient's MPI).
The Include Deceased check box is available when the Print Order selection is Patient Name, Patient Medical Records #, Guarantor Name, Guarantor #, or SSN. Check this box to include deceased patients or guarantors in the report based on the option selected in the Patient Range section (All, Selected, or Range).
Click Generate. The report is displayed in the Report Viewer, where you can save the report to the PC/network or print the report to an assigned printer. See To preview the report for more information on options within the viewer.
