UpToDate®

UpToDate® is a clinical decision support database, powered by a Healthland third party partner. This button on the Main page launches to a search page that you can use as a resource.

The use of the UpToDate database requires licensing and setup. Contact your Account Manager for details.

In addition, throughout the Centriq applications, you may see the UpToDate icon, i.e. eMAR, CPOE, Problem List. This icon indicates that there is evidence and research available in the database to support an action, e.g. order, diagnosis, medication, etc. Click this icon when you see it to launch the UpToDate portal and view the supporting documentation and research.

Updates to the database

The decision support guidelines are dynamic. Updates are made to this database on an ongoing basis and provided in a real-time manner. You are not required to perform any additional steps to get updates because as you access the database, you are directed to the updated information. If you leave your internet browser open, please make sure to refresh your browser often (by selecting View > Refresh on the browser menu bar) to ensure you are looking at the most current information.
